FINE COLT MODEL 1917 REVOLVER WITH .45 ACP SERIAL NUMBER: 200291 BARREL: 5 1/2" CALIBER: MANUFACTURED: 1919. With the strain on production the Colt 1911, both Colt & S&W were instructed to make .45 ACP revolvers to supplement the 1911 and to use the same rimless .45 by use of half moon loading clips. Gun features brush blue military factory finish, built on New Service frame, smooth two piece walnut grips, lanyard loop in butt, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" stamp under barrel, "US ARMY MODEL 1917 stamped on butt. CONDITION: JMF proof on left side of frame, mint bore and a solid 95% factory arsenal blue. The grip is starting to tone and there is a light drag line. Holster is brown leather with G.& K. 1917 F.I.C. stamped on the back, Embossed US on the front. Holster is in very good condition for its age. .45 Auto
