Description: Colt New Service. SN# 336855 1933 Production. Up for sale is a excellent Colt revolver with a history of service to the USA during World War II. This fine Colt was issued and carried by the ship captain of the USS Chiriqui. The grip is engraved with the ship name. If this gun could tell the history of the many trips across the Atlantic during the World War. During 1942 the ship name was changed to USS Tarazed. The ship returned to public freight service after the war under the United Fruit Company. In 1958 it was sold to the Seipio And Company. During these years it harbored in New Orleans and carried passengers to Cuba and Central America. All this time with this Colt being secured in the captain's quarters.
