Colt New Service Model 1917 Civilian .45 Auto Revolver, 1 of 900 made.
Description: In 1932 Colt assembled 900 civilian model 1917 New Services revolvers from parts that were leftover from the WWI Army contract. These have become very collectible amongst collectors due to their scarcity. These had the 5 1/2” barrel, checkered walnut grips, chambered in .45 Auto, and fall within the serial number range of 335,XXX-336,XXX. This one is serial number 336,398 and comes with a Colt letter showing it was part of a shipment to Shapleigh Hardware Company on 07/28/1932. The gun is in very good condition with some wear shown on the left side of the frame below the Rampant Colt logo and a chip in the right side grip. The bore is excellent and appears to have been fired very little. The action locks up tight and is mechanically perfect. It would make an excellent addition to any collection. ??I offer a three-day non-firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped via FedEx with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
