Description: POLICE POSITIVE SPECIAL, .38 SPECIAL, 4" BARREL #144XXX, MADE 1917. This one retains an action as tight today as it was the day it left the factory 105 years ago! The bore is minty bright and it has the original hard rubber Colt embossed grips that show only very light wear with no chips or cracks. The blue is aged and mixing dark gray- looks like it has had some cold blue added. All markings are sharp and clear including the rampant colt on the left side of the frame. Correct barrel markings with the last patent date being 1905. Front sight has not been altered. As solid and dependable today as it was when new...just doesn't look new on the outside, but appears new on the inside!
