Spectacular Colt Model 1878 Etched Panel New Frontier .44-40 with original high figured checkered walnut grips
Description: You may never encounter another high condition Colt Model 1878 like this one. It has the high polish Colt bluing from that time period along with the fire blued accent components. The highly figured checkered walnut grips remain in near new condition. The very desirable etched panel on the barrel correctly reads: COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER and remains in factory original condition. The mechanics as well as the bore remain in perfect condition. In my years of Colt collecting I have encountered two others with similarly high condition but neither had the checkered walnut grips and etched panel barrel. This is certainly one for the discriminating collector who is looking for the best piece available. The gun remains in all original factory condition and is accompanied by a Colt Archive Historical letter of authenticity. I offer a three-day non-firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly in a soft sleeve and placed inside a hard gun case and shipped with insurance to your home or business in the continental United States for the actual cost.
