About Us: First of all, thank you for your interest in my listing. I am an FFL Dealer in Connecticut, as well as a collector. The business name, Warthog Arms, is derived from my Air Force service as an avionic tech on A-10 Thunderbolts (also known as the Warthog). I always strive to go the extra mile to ensure a very satisfying transaction and have an established, trustworthy reputation. I also use GB for listings so if you would like to view my feedback, you can look me up in Advanced Search under Warthog-Arms. My current rating there is A+(160).
Colt Dragoon 3rd Model, Black Powder Signature Series, .44 Caliber, 9” Barrel, Factory Box/Sleeve/Papers
Description:
For your consideration is a Colt Dragoon 3rd Model Blackpowder Signature Series revolver. It is a .44 caliber percussion revolver with a 7 1/2” barrel (sorry, the 9" in the title is leftover from a Colt Walker listing, and I can't change it). This is a massive revolver weighing in over 4lbs.!
The Colt model number is F1741, these were manufactured in the 1990’s. Included are the original presentation box, labeled sleeve box and papers.
It features a blue and case-hardened finish, solid brass trigger guard, walnut grips, and non-fluted cylinder with Indian battle scene. Colt commissioned New York engraver Waterman Ormsby to etch a scene on the cylinder that was based on Col. Walker's description of an 1844 battle.
This beautiful revolver is in unfired condition. There is no cylinder turn line mark or wear on the loading lever. There is a small scratch on the left barrel which is visible in the pictures.
Overall, an awesome reproduction of an early classic American cap and ball military revolver!
Please see my pictures for more details of the condition of this item. I will also be listing other 2nd and 3rd Generation Blackpowder Series revolvers, so please check back periodically.
Ships well-packaged for $50.
This is a black powder firearm, but I still need a government-issued photo ID to verify age and shipping address. It can be shipped directly to you if not in violation of your state/local laws.
Thanks for looking! Please read the conditions below…
