"Double Cased Set of the Colt 1851 Navy Revolvers (AC1195)
Description:
"Serial numbers 23715 & 23724. This is a very neat set of Colt London 1851 Navy revolvers in a dealer casing. One gun was obviously used quite a lot more than the other, but these guns had to have been together since they were new because the cylinders are mismatched to one and other. Serial number 23724: Made in 1853. 36 caliber with a 7 ½" barrel. This gun is reasonably sharp with a even gray patina throughout. Approximately 50% of the cylinder scene remains. Cylinder is matching to other gun in set. Serial number 23715: Excellent condition with 95% of the bright blue on the barrel. The frame has bright case colors and the trigger guard and back strap are excellent with most of the silver. The grips are excellent. These guns come in a dealer casing with accessories. The interior label of the case is marked “A. McComas/ Maker & Importer/ of Guns, Rifles / And Pistols/ 51 Calvert St/ Baltimore" Very fine set of Colt 1851 Navies!
