Made in the late 1860s – late 1870s. 38 RF caliber with a 6.5" barrel" This is an unusual configuration with a long barrel and ejector while the standard conversion has no ejector and a much shorter barrel. This gun is in excellent condition with 90%+ condition. The grips are excellent with most of the original finish. The back strap has the inscription “FCDCR" olt Conversions were a way to use up percussion parts for the cartridge period. The civil war was transitional period where the percussion period was expiring and the cartridge period was replacing it.
