Colt 1851 Navy 4th Model and Is All Matching Civil War
Description:
This is a civilian model Colt 1851 Navy revolver and was shipped in February or March of 1864. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight. The bore very good bright and shiny but does have some corrosion in a few spots. The serial number is 177481 with all matching numbers. This one still has some safety pins on the rear of the cylinder and the screw heads still have fire blue remaining. This Navy is very fine condition with 65-70% original finish remaining. All letters and numerals are crisp and sharp. This one was shipped between Feb. and March of 1864. The Civil War was very active and many soldiers privately purchased a spare revolver because they quickly realized that the fastest reload was another gun, and this one was a 36 caliber 6 shot. Ulysses S. Grant was promoted to Lt. General March 9th 1864. I would consider trades for pre 1899 ANTIQUE PISTOLS and rifles on any of my items.. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO TRADE?
