ENGRAVED Etched Panel COLT “NEW LINE” .22 Revolver Antique NICKEL-PLATED Single Action w PEARL GRIPS!
ENGRAVED Etched Panel COLT “NEW LINE” .22 Revolver
Antique NICKEL-PLATED Single Action w PEARL GRIPS!
Here we present an antique Colt New Line .22 Revolver First Model, made in 1876 in Hartford, Connecticut. The New Line was a single action pocket revolver introduced by the Colt’s Patent Fire Arms Manufacturing Company in 1873. Two years after the Colt House Revolver, a year after the Colt Open Top, and almost simultaneously alongside the Colt Peacemaker, the Colt New Line was one of the first metallic cartridge, rear-loading revolvers manufactured by Colt. It was designed to be a handy pocket-carry revolver, chambered in .22 rimfire, which was very popular for self-defense in these days.
This is one of the rare factory engraved versions, complete with mother of pearl grips. This revolver features 7 shots of .22 rimfire. Etched on the left side of the barrel is “COLT NEW 22”. Accompanying is a framed period advertisement of the New Line.
The overall condition is very fine. The nickel finish is 85%. Good bluing remains on the back of the hammer. The markings are clear. The grips are in fine shape. The bore is in very good shape. The action is excellent.
Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.
Barrel is 2-1/4 inches.
Caliber: .22 Rimfire
Overall condition as seen in photos.
