The Colt Shooting Master is a variant of the New Service Model. This gun is circa 1936. Only about 2,500 38 Special caaliber Shooting Master revolvers were made. The left side of the barrel is marked COLT SHOOTING MASTER .38. The 6"" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. It has the standard target sights. The gun retains approx. 99% blue. The sides of the hammer and trigger are bright and are excellent. The grip straps and trigger face are factory checkered. The checkered walnut grips, with the Clot medallion at the top, are like new. The action functions correctly. This is the BEST condition Colt Shooting Master we have seen.
