Colt New Service .38 Special with the rare 5” Barrel
Description: A Colt New Service Revolver chambered in .38 Special with the seldom encountered 5” barrel. This one was made in 1938 and has the square butt frame (Most were round butt on the .38’s). The gun shows moderate wear with most of its finish still intact. The bore is excellent and the action is tight and locks up perfectly. The gun has the original checkered wood stocks. An unusual feature on this gun is the lanyard ring which was a special order. While most of the calibers had the lanyard ring the .38 and .357 did not. Colt evidently came to their senses and figured out that there was little need for this feature so they dropped it on these two calibers. Of course they could be ordered if the customer wanted this feature. I offer a three day non firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information. Please see my other collectible firearms that I have listed.
