Colt ~ New Service Model ~ 44 Cal ~ 1901 Production.

Description:
This example is a Colt New Service Revolver in .44 Caliber, not sure if its 44-40? The left side of the barrel is marked "NEW SERVICE CAL. 44", the top is marked "COLT'S PATENT FIRE ARMS. MFG. CO HARTFORD CT USA / PAT. AUG 5. 1884 JUNE 5. 1900". The left side plate is marked with Colt's rampant logo and "COLT'S / NEW SERVICE". The lower right side of the frame, on the rear trigger guard is marked "0". The crane cutout is marked "5380", the crane is marked "5380". The rear of the cylinder, under the ejector star, is marked "6 5", which is an assembly number. The inside of the grip panels are unmarked. The front sight is a 'clipped' fixed blade on the barrel. The rear sight is a shallow "U" cut into the top of the frame. The grips are black hard rubber panels with "COLT" in oval on the upper portion. Comes with a Colt provenance paper. None

Chambers: 6 shot revolver.
Metal Condition: The barrel finish doesn't match the rest of the gun. The frame shows various stages of finish wear and overall rates about 60%.
Wood Condition: The hard rubber grips are in excellent shape.
Bore Condition: Very strong bright bore.
Barrels: 7.5" barrel.
Triggers: SA/DA.
Sights: Fixed.
Chokes: 7.5" barrel.
