US Army model 1917 custom wearing a 3 inch barrel with ramped front sight, Tyler grip extensions and checkered wood grips with Silver ramparts medallions. Chambered in .45acp this one packs a punch, but with its heavy frame it makes a pleasant shooter. Built on one of the best heavy Colt .45 acp revolver frames ever produced this is no pocket carry gun. Not sure what it is but it feels good in my hand and I like it for a truck or bedside gun. You can fire it with .45acp cartridges easily using the half moon or full six shot clips shown in photos. Gun also can be fired without using clips. Made in Colts Hartford Ct. plant 104 years ago at the end of WWI for the US Army, somewhere down the line it got a haircut.
