Colt Officers Model Target .22 with Orginal Box and Test Target, Bead sight and Factory Letter
Description: Sold Pending Funds - For sale is a boxed Colt Officers Model Target in the less common .22 LR with a factory fitted bead front sight as described in the letter, and its original factory target. Original target and box are numbered to the gun. There is evidence of careful usage and collector type markings commensurate for an extremely well cared for firearm of this age. The factory original blued metal surfaces on this revolver are very nice with slight high edge wear and some spots of oxidation. There are some markings on the lower portion of the cylinder release. The lovely fire blue still covers the screws and pins on the front sight. The action is crisp, the lock up is tight, the bolt drips ½ way into the grooves on all 6, endshake is absent, and the bore is bright and shiny. The later target stocks are fully carved with a thumb rest. Wonderful 82-year old specimen of a firearm which exhibits all of the details and finish that made Colt the premiere firearms manufacturer.
