Description: EXCELLENT CONDITION EARLY OFFICERS MODEL TARGET SIGHTED .38 SPECIAL WITH SCARCE AND DESIRABLE 7 ½” BARREL, #357XXX, MADE 1913. This is a beautiful example showing almost all of the early high polish Colt blue remaining with only some light edge wear, front strap thinning and slight wear to the bottom of the trigger guard bow. Classic checkered back strap and t rigger, exc. fire blue on the trigger sides and hammer back, exc. sharply checkered walnut grips with Colt medallions, exc. markings including the barrel address and last patent date of 1905, clear rampant colt on the left side of the frame, tight action, tight lock-up, exc. bright bore. This kind of hand fitting quality that was done 106 years ago will never be seen again. And all for a little more than the price of a new Colt or S&W with adjustable sights! Rare barrel length.
