OUTSTANDING, MINTY CONDITION RARE 7 1/2" BARREL OFFICERS MODEL TARGET .38 SPECIAL, #585XXX, MADE 1927. Almost all of these hand tuned and hand fitted target sighted Colts were made with 6" barrels. A very few were ordered with the long 7 1/2" barrel. This example appears about unfired and new. It retains all the deep factory blue and the checkered walnut grips are about perfect. Only has a hint of a cylinder drag line that does not go through the blue. All it needs is a box! Checkered back strap and trigger. From the Golden Age of double action revolvers, this was one of the very best offered by Colt.
