Initially known as the Army Special these were manufactured in the early 1900s for military use, however after World War 1, the 1911 became favored by the military and Colt marketed the revolver to law enforcement and changed the name to Official Police, which had minor differences. This model is a Pre-War model, manufactured in 1931. .22 Long Rifle
