1966 Colt Official Police .38 Special 6” Heavy Barrel of the NY State Conservation Department. Excellent, bright bore, piece retains 80% plus of the original blue finish with moderate holster wear on the barrel and cylinder with fading along the back strap, dulling to pewter gray patina.
The checkered walnut factory grips with silver Colt medallions are hand numbered to the gun on the inside and in very good to fine condition, light scattered scratches, dents and wear.
The butt of the gun is stamped “N.Y.S.C.D.”, denotes the New York State Conservation Department, known as the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation from 1970 forward, the department responsible for management and enforcement of fish and game laws.
This revolver exhibits good lock-up and functions flawlessly in both single and double-action.
This is a great, NY State marked revolver in very good to fine condition.
