Here we present a C&R Colt Pocket Positive Double Action First Issue Revolver, made in 1926 by the Colt Manufacturing Company with a production run from 1905 through 1927 in Hartford, Connecticut. The Colt Pocket Positive revolver was the improvement of the previous New Pocket model, with the addition of Colt's new "Positive Safety" feature. The Positive Safety was a steel bar that retracted down inside the action as the trigger was pulled and allowed the hammer to move forward and fire the cartridge. This added an additional layer of safety to the Colt rebounding hammer safety feature of the New Pocket and made it safer if the gun were to be dropped on the hammer.
The overall condition is fine. Original finish. The action is excellent. The bore is shiny bright with nice rifling. The mother of pearl grips have the rampant Colt trademarked medallions and are in near fine shape, only the left grip at the toe has a little chip.
This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.
Barrel is 2-1/2 inches.
Caliber: .32 Police (.32 S&W Long)
Overall condition as seen in photos.
