Colt Police Positive 2'' Police Revolver
Description:
This is a Colt very early 2'' revolver ,police positive shipped in 1927. Police Positive revolvers in 2 '' are scarce to find, only manufactured for a few years. Then the Detective special was born. So these 2' Police positives are hard to find. The Letter states it was shipped in blue, The ampersand in the crane indicates it was shipped back to colt and had some repair or refinishing done to it. I feel the nickel was done by colt as its so smoothe and still retains all the finish to this day. Detroit Police dept almost always had their colts in nickel ,I have had many Nic.colts marked Detroit Police . Its in great condition ,mint bore,mint cylinder and appears not to have been shot much.Mechanically perfect. Grips are nice with the usual wear for a cop's gun. Numbered on the butt and backstrap as it should be.It has the large grip unlike the early small one.Top strap is the for runner of the Detective special, trigger is Police Positive Smooth. Barrel marking is correct and rare and no patent dates on the right is correct. Comes with Badge, holster, photo of detroit police motorcycle group of the proper vintage and Factory letter. have a beautiful set of M.O.P's for a aditional 250,00 that fit perfect.
