The overall condition of this example is probably best described as "shooter grade". The finish on the barrel and cylinder are nearly gone and down to the white. The frame shows finish wear on the edges and has developed a moderate patina. Grips show signs of very heavy wear. Mechanically the revolver is rock solid. There's some light play in the cylinder with the hammer down as well as back; but when the hammer is dropped (as in firing) the cylinder locks up as tight as the day it left the factory. Sources indicate 1929 as the year of manufacture. .38 Special
