SUPER RARE FLAT TOP TARGET .32 NEW POLICE CAL. POLICE POSITIVE, MADE 1910

ONE OF THE MOST RARE OF THE DOUBLE ACTION FLAT TOP TARGET REVOLVERS IS THIS VERY EARLY POLICE POSITIVE IN .32 NEW POLICE CENTER FIRE CALIBER (.32 S&W LONG), #78XXX, MADE 1910!  I inspect every Police Positive Target revolver I encounter and haven’t seen or been able to offer a .32 Center Fire one in years. Almost all were made in .22 LR or .22 WRF calibers. This extremely early example has the correct “stylized C” with rampant colt stamping on the left side of the frame. The left side of the 6" barrel is marked “POLICE POSITIVE  32 POLICE CTG.” The top of the barrel is clearly stamped with the normal Colt address and patent dates with the last date being 1905. This example shows fine early high polish Colt blue with normal holster/handling wear to the barrel sides and back strap. There is also some of the usual light thinning on the cylinder blue along with some edge wear. It has very nicely fitting real pearl grips with only  one small “flake” or chip that does NOT go all the way through on the lower right rear corner. Still retains some nice fire blue on the back of the hammer and sides of the trigger. Very tight action, correct adjustable target sights and bright minty bore. These are one of the most difficult target Colt revolvers to locate.
