1962 Colt Python, Early 4 inch, Boxed, 98%

Description:
Colt added the Python with 4 inch barrel option late in 1961 to their catalog. They were listed for $125.00. The four inch vented rib barrel caught on and this 1962 gun is a pristine early four inch model. Gorgeous Royal Blued finish with full checkered grips with Gold Ramparts medallions. Gun appears to have been test fired only, no wear evident on finish of this pretty girl. Coms in numbered to gun original box with owners papers and bore brush, label appears to have been replaced.
I bought this Python from a gent walking down the isle at the Tulsa gun show many years ago. He had it tucked under his arm and said his father bought it new in 1962 in Tulsa and had never fired it.
I have always thought the early Pythons were way better made revolvers than I would ever need. Like a fine watch.
