Description: #4974 Colt S/A 4-3/4”x41COLT, 173xxx serial range (1897), the bore is about an 8 on a scale of 10, and the mechanics are fine with good lock-up, timing, and all clicks on the hammer. Correct two-line barrel address on VG+ metal with faint traces of original blue in the protected areas and just having some minor bumps and bruises. The front sight profile has been lowered slightly with some dings around the sight and the markings are all very good.The original hard rubber grips show a LOT of wear, about 70% overall, but no serious chips. These 41 calibered Single Actions have the unique benefit of being able to also shoot 38/40 cartridges with just a simple change of the cylinder, since the bore diameter of the 38/40 and 41 are both .406.
