Description:
Alvin White Engraved Colt Single Action Army Revolver. Made in 1880. This gun was engraved by legendary master engraver Alvin White. Under the grips on the left-hand side of the trigger guard is his sink in gold with the “AA White/ENGR”. This gun is in mint condition, has beautiful scroll work throughout the gun with a gold inlayed Indian on the left-hand side of the recoil shield and gold inlay of what appears to be Wild Bill Hickok. The barrel and the cylinder also have gold inlayed bands. Grips are excellent and carved with a high relief saloon girl. Absolutely beautiful gun. Alvin White began engraving in the 1920’s and was a legend. He engraved guns for numerous presidents, kings, and heads of state. Absolutely beautiful gun by one of the finest engravers!
