"Serial number 331134. Made in 1914. 45 LC caliber with a 4 ¾" barrel. Rare variation with the “long flute" configuration cylinders. Approximately 1379 guns were made using left over cylinders made for the Colt 1878 DA revolvers with a longer “flute" in the cylinder. This gun is in very fine original condition which is rare in these guns. The original blue finish rates at 70% while the case colors is closer to 85% coverage, although muted. Grips are excellent and are numbered to this gun. This gun is all matching, Action works perfect. Bore is very fine, bright and shiny with some frosting in the grooves. This gun comes with a factory letter confirming the configuration including the cylinder. This gun was shipped to Schmelzer Arms in Kansas City Missouri. Schmelzer Arms Company was a sporting goods dealer in Kansas City from the late 1880s till 1933. Very fine example of a scarce Colt Single Action Army variation!
