SN: 183449. Made in 1899 by serial number. This gun has a black powder frame, so a case could be made that the frame was made in 1895 or before and used later. 41 LC caliber with a 3 ½" barrel. Very fine all original gun with very good blue on the back strap, trigger guard and cylinder. The barrel has been cleaned. Bright case colors remain on the frame. Grips are excellent. This gun comes with a two copies of a factory letter confirming the features. This gun was in a shipment of 6 sent to A. Balwin & Co in New Orleans. Colt Sheriffs models are a variation where there is no ejector rod present. A 3 ½" This is a superb example!
