Famous Sheriff Reeder Webb's Colt Single Army revolver serial number 121135 with a 4 ¾" barrel chambered in .45lc. Serial numbers are matching, and frame is U.S. marked with D.F.C and H.N. noted underside of the barrel. Frame looks to have been refinished some time ago with pin-prick surface oxidation visible. Cylinder and barrel are a light grey patina with shallow pitting present in some areas. Action functions and indexes properly with a tight lock up. Bore is good with strong rifling visible. Reeder Webb served as Sheriff of Odessa, Texas and Ector County from January 1923- January 1941. Sheriff Webb was involved in numerous shoot-outs over the years, with the most famous one happening in 1927 when he slayed two bank robbers. Also included is a S.D. Myres, El Paso, Texas tooled leather holster with “Jan. 1923 Reeder Webb, Sheriff Ector County, Odessa, Texas". A set of 13 keys that were carried by the Sheriff and include keys to the jail. Lastly are a small leather billy club and knuckle duster.
