"Very Fine Custer Range Colt Single Action Army Ainsworth Inspected (AC320)
Description: "Serial Number 5555. 45LC with a 7 ½" barrel. This is a cavalry model inspected by O. W. Ainsworth. This gun is in very fine original condition. Metal has a mostly gray to brown patina with original blue in protected areas and some case colors visible on the frame. The grips are original and have a well round missing chip on the left hand side. This gun was part of lot 6 issued to the US Cavalry and lot 5 and 6 were the guns shipped to the 7th cavalry. Several gun in the same serial range have provenance to the 7th cavalry and the battle of the little big horn. This gun comes with a letter from noted Colt expert John Kopec.
