Very Fine Colt Single Action Army Artillery Model .45 LC (C13280)

Description:

Very Fine Colt Single Action Army Artillery Model .45 LC caliber revolver. Made in 1874, with 5 ½” barrel. Barrel has 85% of the original blue. Frame still has the visible case colors. Front and backstrap have turned to a mostly brown patina. Wood grip are good. Cartouche on the right-hand side is visible. There is a repair on the left hand-side where the cartouche would be and there is a repair on the right hand-side where the grip meets the frame. Very hard to see. These guns were made for the Spanish-American War.
