Antique COLT ARTILLERY Single Action Army Revolver .45 Colt from the Spanish-American War Period
Description: Antique COLT ARTILLERY Single Action Army Revolver .45 Colt from the Spanish-American War Period Here we present an antique Colt Single Action Army Revolver Artillery Model in .45 Colt, with the frame made in 1890. The Colt Single Action Army is a worldwide icon of the United States of America and the Western Frontier. The Artillery Model of the SAA is a period (1895-1903) armory or factory refinished gun to extend U.S. military service. Only about 17,000 of these refurbished guns were completed. In all but the rarest variant of the already rare Artillery Model, the serial numbers will be mixed. Many of these saw action in the Spanish-American War and the Philippine-American War. This revolver still bears the government inspector initials on many of the parts. The left side of the frame is marked “US”. The barrel was inspected by David F. Clark. The frame was inspected by Rinaldo A. Carr. The trigger guard bears the initial “A” for Ainsworth next to a serial number of “584”! “P” proof marks remain visible. The grips have been nicely checkered. The overall condition is fine. The blued finish is 98%. Some of the markings remain legible except for the barrel address which is mostly worn. The walnut grip is in great shape. The bore is in very good condition, clean with strong rifling. The action is excellent, strong and crisp. This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 5-1/2 inch. Caliber: .45 Colt Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $4995 #190459 SOLD Antique: Yes |
