Antique 1st Gen Colt Model 1873 (aka Single Action Army or “Peacemaker”). This revolver was manufactured in 1890 and is chambered in 45 Colt. Barrel is 5-1/2” long. The two piece hard rubber grips with rampant colt motif show significant wear. Patent marking is three line, three date. Oval shaped ejector. Caliber marked on left side of barrel. Matching serial number on butt, trigger guard, and frame. Cylinder pin retained by vertical screw (Black Powder). Hammer has been replaced as evidenced by lacking the border around the knurling and line underneath.
The frame is color case hardened and still retains some color. We believe the barrel, cylinder, and trigger guard have been re-blued but are not verified. Barrel, cylinder, ejector assembly, and trigger guard retain 98% of blued finish. Back strap is about 80%. Bore has minor pitting and is still shiny.
