BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL COLT SAA .45, LETTER, FIRST GENERATION
Description:
Gorgeous Colt Single Action Army revolver. The serial number 240658 matches on the frame, triggerguard and backstrap. It is confirmed by the Colt Archive letter as a .45 caliber, 7 1/2" barrel, blue finish with stocks not listed that was shipped to M. Hartley & Company in New York on March 24, 1903 in a shipment of 3 guns. All of the factory applied markings are clear and crisp. The action functions perfectly and the bore is excellent. The grips fit very and are the correct, original style factory grips. The right grip panel may be a replacement. The majority of the original factory applied finish remaining throughout with a high percentage of bright, original case colors on the frame and hammer. The screws are excellent with most of the fire blue finish. The front sight is full. This is a fantastic Colt that would be hard to improve upon. A three day inspection is offered with full refund if returned unfired in the same condition. Buyer to pay return shipping. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional photos.
