COLT 7-1/2” 44-40 BLACK POWDER SA
Description:
Colt brass stock having been added to the gun. Probably newer manufactured in the early 40's or 50's. Fits on an extended hammer screw. This stock has been on the gun for quite some time. Upon removing it I can see the hard rubber grips have a black color underneath the stock. Below that is a light brown patina. Good shootable bore. VG+ mechanics. Overall gun retains about half of the orig blue toning to a plum/brown. Good traces of case color in protected areas. Has what I believe to be original Eagle hard rubber grips that fit fairly well. Somewhat warped on one side. They show a fair amount of use but I believe them to be correct to the gun. Good looking outfit! I think the stock was made by Colt in a different era but looks good on the gun.
