COLT FIRST GENERATION SINGLE ACTION ARMY IN CALIBER 38 COLT
Description:
5-1/2 inch barrel with a good shiny bore. Overall metal has turned a plum/grey color with some light pitting. Good traces of original finish in protected areas. "38 Colt" is faintly visible on left side of the barrel. Rampant Colt insignia on the left side of the frame. Nice action. Replacement Colt grips. Comes with an unmarked leather holster in good condition. The 38 Colt caliber was first introduced in 1886 and was discontinued in 1914. This example was manufactured in 1912. A scarce Colt as only 1,011 Standard Frames were made in this caliber.
