Colt SAA Frontier Six Shooter 44-40, 7 1/2 inch, 1913, Factory Letter- Los Angeles
Description: SOLD PENDING RECEIPT OF FUNDS
This listing is for my Colt SAA 44-40 Frontier Six Shooter revolver with 7 1/2 inch barrel. The revolver is in excellent mechanical condition with wear from use. It retains original finish throughout with traces of case color on the frame. There are areas of very good bright blue (triggerguard area) and some areas where the blue has turned mostly brown (left side of muzzle area of the barrel). The top and underside of the barrel have much of the original blue, whereas the side of the ejector housing and sides of the barrel show the most wear- holster wear in my opinion. I have taken several photos to allow you to judge the condition. Please look at the photos carefully and ask any questions you might have. The bore is excellent. The action is tight and has the four distinct clicks. Trigger pull measures 2 lbs. The Colt factory letter is included and shows a shipping date of September 11, 1913, to Tufts-Lyons Arms Company, Los Angeles, California.
I have owned this revolver for 10 years and have shot it an average amount, probably about 10 boxes (500 rounds) and it functions and shoots well (better than my aging eyes allow). I am including my original George Lawrence western holster & belt rig with this revolver.
I will need to get $3250 for the revolver plus $50 insured USPS shipping. Payment must be by USPS Money Orders for immediate shipping from my FFL dealer to yours. a FFL copy may be sent with your payment or emailed to me. This revolver is C&R eligible. You are responsible for knowing your local laws, so do noton this revolver if you are unable to complete the transfer at your local FFL dealer. Thank you !
