Description:
Colt Intermediate Black Powder Frame SAA in .45 LC. This classic Old West rig was made in 1883 and is in surprising good mechanical condition. This gun features a 5-1/2" barrel, Nickel finish and two piece hard rubber grips with eagle motif. The grips are original, fit very well to the frame and are unnumbered. The bore is frosted but has sharp lands and grooves and is very shootable. The finish is an old re-nickel that has a nice vintage look about it. The barrel and cylinder are unnumbered as was typical of nickel guns of this period, although we have no factory Letter to confirm it's original finish. The loading gate's finsh is a little brighter than the rest of the gun and is likely a replacement. Mechanically, the gun is in very good condition, with strong springs and an action that locks up good and is in time. One cylinder notch is worn to the point where the cylinder can be rotated off of the bolt if significant pressure is applied. This would not affect operation and it is perfectly safe to shoot with appropriate ammo. Overall, a nice looking Black Powder Frame 1st Gen. SAA that is priced to sell. Here is your chance to own the most recognized and collectable gun in world, an Amercican classic.
