Colt, SAA, TEXAS History, Restored, Engraved, Ivory, .38-40 x 4 3/4”, SN: 142240, Colt letter, ANTIQUE 

Description:
               SOLD, PENDING RECEIPT OF FUNDS...............This Colt Single Action Army revolver never looked so good.  It was manufactured in 131 years ago in 1891. The factory letter confirms that it was .38/40 Cal. with a 4 3/4" barrel with the rare Nickel plating. It was shipped to J.C. Petmecky in Austin Texas on August 1, 1891. A brief interesting history of Petmecky is attached to this advertisement for your information.
Additional information on Petmecky was recently printed in the Fall 2022 Rampent Colt Magazine, published by the Colt Collectors Assocition. 
          Prior to Restoration this Colt retained the Factory Nickel plating, the bore was, and is, reasonably good for a Black Power era Revolver.  It retains prominent rifling with moderatly rough groves, shootable if you desire. The original hard rubber grips showed significant wear and have been replaced with a beautiful set of Ivory Grips.
          Most importantly, it has been Professionally engraved and Nickel plated. with Screws, Trigger and Cylinder Pin. Bright Blued as shown in the many photos. An action job has brought the revolver back to full-service condition. 
          This is a great addition to any Texas Colt Collection. Serial number 142240.  Cal. .38-40 with a 4 ¾” barrel. It will be shipped with the Colt letter.

SHIPPING: 
Shipments are made via U.S.P.S. Priority Mail, Insured, with a return receipt. Packing, Shipping and Insurance cost for this handgun is $80.00.

RETURNS:
Returns must be made within 3 days of receipt. They must be received in exactly the same condition with no parts exchanged.  If it has been altered, damaged, or fired, a refund will not be made.  Packing, shipping and insurance cost will not be refunded.  All layaway purchases are returnable for merchandise credit only.
 PAYMENT: 
Bank check, Personal check, and Money Orders are preferred. Visa and MasterCard are accepted with a 3% processing fee. For Visa and MasterCard orders please provide the account number, code number, expiration date, name on card, phone number and card billing address. This information can be phoned in, or E-Mailed.  All orders must be paid in advance, C.O.D. orders are not accepted. Checks, both Bank and Personal must clear before the order will be shipped, usually a 2 week delay. 
 LAYAWAYS: 
A 20% deposit is required.  Balance is due in 30 days. Deposits are non-refundable and are forfeited after 40 days.  Layaway sales are returnable for merchandise credit only.
SALES TAX: 
Pennsylvania state sales tax is 6% for in state purchases. The payment of other states sales tax, if applicable, for shipped items is the buyers responsibility.
