This is a very fine first-generation Colt single action revolver. It is chambered in .45 Colt with a 5-1/2-inch barrel which has strong rifling with light, scattered corrosion. The timing of the gun is excellent. All hammer notches are intact.
One of the serial numbers on the trigger guard looks to possibly have an over-stamp, but that was a common error at the time. The serials on the frame, in front of the trigger guard, and grip all match. It is so very slight you might not even notice.
This gun left the factory in 1902. The gun is in excellent shape and has an overall pleasing patina. The gun is in a known serial range of guns shipped to the Copper Queen mining company in Bisbee, AZ.
