Colt Single Action Army Revolver SAA 1st Gen. 7.5” .32WCF w/Letter, Holster c. 1902
Description:
This Colt Single Action Army revolver was shipped to Wyeth Hardware & Mfg. Co., St. Joseph, Missouri on December 24, 1902 (serial #237194) with 35 other guns. It was shipped with a 4.75” barrel. It was returned to the factory sometime between 1912 and 1929, and the barrel replaced with a 7.5" one. This is evidenced by the upside-down ampersand stamped on the right rear trigger guard bow and the assembly numbers on almost all parts (421B). This Colt has probably 80% of its factory blue finish and a fair amount of case coloring visible. The leading edges of the cylinder show wear and bare metal on two sides from being holstered. It has fire blued screws in good shape and all its clicks and hammer notches. It is mechanically tight, and the bore is about perfect.
The holster housing the gun is heavy leather, double loop, hand made and machine stitched, but not maker marked. A close look will show a short line of old stitch holes at the very bottom of the skirt which would indicate it was cut down, or made from leather that previously had another use. It is in good, serviceable condition.
We will consider trade for gold and/or silver at spot prices. Shipping is $100, USPS Priority Mail, insured.
