EXCELLENT ANTIQUE COLT SAA .44 ETCHED PANEL, KANSAS CITY SHIPPED
Description:
Nice, original frosty nickel, Colt Single Action Army revolver made in 1887. The serial number 121681 matches on the frame, triggerguard and backstrap. The accompanying Colt Archive letter confirms it as a .44/40 with a 7 1/2" barrel, nickel finish and rubber stocks shipped to E.E. Merges & Company in Kansas City, MO on September 12, 1887 in a 3 gun shipment. All of the factory applied markings are clear and crisp. The action functions perfectly and the bore is very good. The eagle grips fit perfectly and are the correct, original, factory grips. The right panel is a little short from a previous, very well done repair that is hardly detectable. There is a high percentage of original nickel finish remaining on the barrel, frame and ejector housing with generous amounts remaining in protected areas of the trigger guard and back strap and cylinder. The screws are very good and the front sight is full. The etched panel is very clear and rates a 9 out of 10. Price includes insurance and shipping direct to the buyer in the continental United States where legal. A three day inspection is offered with full refund if returned unfired in the same condition. Buyer to pay return shipping. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional photos.
