EXCELLENT ANTIQUE COLT SAA .44 SHPPED SAN FRANCISCO 1895
Description:
Beautiful Colt Single Action Army revolver made in 1895. The serial number 160610 matches on the frame, triggerguard and backstrap. The accompanying Colt Archive letter confirms it as a .44/40 with a 7 1/2" barrel, blue finish and rubber stocks shipped to Colt's San Francisco Agency on May 15, 1895 in a 10 gun shipment. All of the factory applied markings are clear and crisp. The action functions perfectly and the bore is excellent. The rubber grips fit well and are correct to the period, replacement grips that are slightly undersized. There is a very high percentage of original blue finish remaining on the barrel and ejector housing with generous amounts remaining on the trigger guard, back strap and cylinder flutes. There are bright, vivid case colors showing on both sides of the frame. The screws are very good with most of the factory fire blue and the front sight is full. Price includes insurance and shipping direct to the buyer in the continental United States where legal. A three day inspection is offered with full refund if returned unfired in the same condition. Buyer to pay return shipping. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional photos.
