This is by far one of the finest Colt Single Action Army Artillery Revolvers one could find. It is absolutely phenomenal for many reasons and in many respects, one as Kopec notes, the frame has never been refinished or touched in any way unlike all other Artillery Revolvers. The barrel has a beautiful inky blue finish, Virtually all screws show a great fire blue finish. The grips are very good also and show a tad bit faint "RAC" cartouche on the right side. Serial numbers are 95796 on the backstrap, 133296 on the trigger guard with a inspectors "K", 54255 DFC inspected frame, #5578 DFC barrel, Grips are numbered #4745 and is believed to be from serial number 134745. No serial number or inspectors marks are found on the cylinder as they were polished away as probably being refinished twice by 1903. Overall this is a phenomenal Artillery Revolver.
