Factory Engraved SAA Ca 1901

Description:
A beautiful, correct, factory engraved 1st Gen SAA. Factory letter dated January 25, 1960 is included. This SAA is a .45 Cal, 5 1/2" Nickel finish, with wood grips. The letter indicates this was a 1 gun shipment. The address of the shipment was not legible on the factory records, as stated in the letter. I would rate this revolver at 85%. The action is tight. The name, "Loy D Stone" is engraved on the bottom of the grip frame. The only wear shown on the engraving is the cylinder, and backstrap. Numbers do match. Letter is in photos.

An interesting piece of provenance is included. A letter from the former owner explaining the origin of the revolver being a well-known collector from Mexico, who lived in El Paso, and ran The Sun Hardward and Furniture Company, there. The letter is in the photos.

This is a fine example of a factory engraved Colt, suitable for any collector. Please call me with any questions.
