Description:
New York Engraved Colt Single Action Army revolver. Made in 1883. 44-40 caliber. This is a beautiful engraved gun with a 7 ½” barrel in nickel finish. 85% of the original nickel remains. Barrel is an original etched panel and is very nice and clear. Engraving is sharp and excellent. Gun indexes properly and works fine mechanically. Most of the engraved black powder guns that come on the market have no finish and have usually been altered. Comes with a factory letter which has the finish listed as soft and confirms this gun was sent to be engraved. It was shipped to Hartley and Graham and has a much better level of engraving than you normally find on Hartley and Graham engraved guns! This is a beautiful high finish straight engraved single action!
