The Colt New Frontier was introduced in 1960 and this example was made in 1964, making it a desirable 2nd Generaltion Colt. The New Frontier guns feature an adjustible rear sight. This has a 7.5" barrel. Timing and function are excellent. In the limited shooting I have done, is very accurate and the trigger is crisp. Judging by the cylinder face and the breech it does not appear to have been shot very much. The bore and chambers are excellent with sharp, clean rifling and bright surfaces.
The blueing is very good with some marks on the cylinder, which are shown in the photos. The hammer has some spots on each side, which I have not polished in any way. On the right grip panel there is a hairline crack in the wood running from the top of the Colt emblem to the top of the grip. At the bottom of the right grip panel there is a small indent. There are no other cracks in the grips that I can find. The pictures accurately represent the condition of the revolver.
