COLT SAA * 2ND GENERATION, .38 Special * Made in 1959
Description: 2nd Generation Colt Single Action Army built in 1959, chambered in .38 Special. This one looks used because it is. It was made in 1959 which makes it 65 years old. If it was an American citizen it would be on medicare. I love to shoot this revolver because of the low recoil, and because it shoots straight up the middle. If you adjust your elevation for different loads, the target will be hit. The revolver is in the original configuration with a five and a half inch barrel, the proper factory grips, and has not been altered. I took it to my Gunsmith a year ago to make sure that it was functioning correctly and it was disassembled and cleaned. No parts were needed. The cylinder is numbered to the frame. The bore is in excellent shape. I have only fired mild loads in it, and have used mostly lead roundnosed bullets. The 38 special chambering has very tolerable recoil because of its extra weight, and has about half the kick of a 44 or 45. Ammunition is also less expensive. Please check the pictures to see the wear on the exterior. I did not hide any flaws when I took the photos. If you are looking for a fun Colt SAA to shoot, you should consider this one. I am only selling it because I recently picked up a First Generation .38 Special. Buyer pays shipping and insurance.
