Engraved Colt Single Action Army Revolver Miniature, Serial No. 20 by Aldo Uberti Gold Wire Inlays
Description:
On Hold, Pending Sale! This is an early 1:47 scale Miniature Reproduction of the Colt Single Revolver that was made by Aldo Uberti. Serial number is 20 and bottom of the barrel is marked "A. UBERTI FECIT" which dates this one to around 1982 at the beginning of production. The frame and hammer are case color hardened while the barrel, gripstraps, and cylinder are charcoal blued which had just been introduced as a finish optionn around the time this revolver was manufactured in the early 1980's. Other than the barrel address being left blank, it has all of the correct markings which include the early 2 line Colt Patent dates on the left side of the frame and "45 CAL" stamped on the left side of the trigger guard. The engraving is incredibly detailed for such a small scale and there are gold inlayed bands around the muzzle and a bordered oval on top of the barrel. Finish is 98% with a few freckles, mainly on the backstrap. Grips are Excellent overall with a tiny almost imperceptible chip on the rear left corner. I didn't even see this until we photographed it with a zoom lens. These are built and work just like the real single actions....the cylinder has the central bushing like the original and even the barrels are rifled. However, the rear of the barrel is plugged so it can't be fired. If you're looking to own a piece of mechanical art that you can enjoy for years to come without having to spend large sums of money, these miniatures will fit that spot in your collection. They make great gifts and investments as well.
