The Colt company along with Winchester produced a limited edition set of 1873 SAA and 1873 Rifle chambered in .44-40 and serialized alike, then a few years later Colt produced a few of the pistols alone. We suspect this is one of the latter group. It features engravings with gold filling to highlight the collaboration. This one is in excellent condition, and doesn't appear to have been fired. .44-40 Winchester
